The Wanted Tickets

Put together by the same person who created The Saturdays (Jayne Collins), The Wanted were formed in London in 2009 and consist of Max George, Tom Parker, Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes and Jay McGuinness. Their debut single was called “All Time Low” and went straight to No.1 in the UK in the Summer of 2010. Their follow-up, “Heart Vacancy”, reached No.2, in October. Their eponymous debut album came out the same month (reaching No.4 in the UK), and spawned the third single, “Lose My Mind”, but this only reached No.19, despite a promotional appearance on The X Factor.

The Wanted began work on their second album, Battleground, in January 2011, before undertaking their first headline tour, called Behind Bars, in March 2011, ostensibly still in promotion of the first album. Also in March, they released the single “Gold Forever”, for Comic Relief, which reached No.3. That summer, the boys appeared at T4 On The Beach, the V Festival, and the iTunes Festival, before “Glad You Came” became their second UK No.1 hit in July 2011, with “Lightning” getting to No.2 in October. Also in October, they supported Justin Bieber on his Brazil concert dates, as well as opening for Britney Spears at the MEN Arena. In November, Battleground was finally released, and went into the UK album charts at No.5. The fourth single from the album, “Warzone”, was released on Boxing Day, 2011.

The Wanted announced in December 2011 that they would be touring the US in January and February 2012, followed by an arena tour of the UK and Ireland in February and April.
