Steel Panther

Steel Panther will be in Hamburg, Oslo, København V, Warszawa and 15 other dates. They will appear at Großmarkt on August 19th, Sentrum Scene on September 18th, Lille Vega on September 20th, Progresja Music Zone on September 24th and 16 other venue(s) in 2016.

Formed in Los Angeles in 2000, Steel Panther went through various guises such as Metal Skool and Danger Kitty, before settling on their present name, and have quickly established themselves as showmen, with a dedication to replicating the 1980s glam metal era, borne out by the stage names of members, “Michael Starr” (Ralph Saenz), “Lexxi Foxxx” (Travis Haley), “Satchel” (Russ Parrish) and “Stix Zadinia” (Darren Leader). A fixture on the Sunset Strip club scene, including regular gigs at the infamous Viper Room, the band are known for their humorous homages to their big-haired heroes like Europe, Motley Crue and Van Halen.

As Danger Kitty, they released an EP in 2002 called “Love Rocket”, and promoted the story that they could have been a big band in the 1980s but “just didn't make it”. In 2003, as Metal Shop, they released their debut album, Hole Patrol, and over the next few years contributed covers and original music to MTV's Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory and Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

In 2008, they changed their name to Steel Panther, signed with Republic Records, and released their first album under the Steel Panther name, Feel The Steel, in 2009. Their entertaining live gigs and visual presence in Los Angeles gave rise to a legion of celebrity fans, including Corey Feldman, Drew Carey, Chad Kroeger and Kelly Clarkson, all of whom have appeared on stage with the band, who still gig most Monday nights at the Key Club in Hollywood.

An appearance at OzzFest 2010 finally brought them to a UK audience, and their 2011 album, Balls Out, featured guest contributions from Joe Elliott, Scott Ian and Gene Simmons. Steel Panther announced in late 2011 that they would be touring the UK with Def Leppard and Motley Crue in late 2011, followed by a return to L.A. for gigs including opening for Guns'N'Roses in January 2012.
