• Spector Tickets & Dates

Alternative rockers, Spector, were formed in London in 2011, after previous incarnations as Les Incompetents and Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man., and are often compared to The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs and The Strokes, with a look of Roxy Music/Reservoir Dogs about them. Lead singer, Fred McPherson, used to be a jock on MTV and also dated Peaches Geldof for a time, so the band's exposure was helped by a few gossip column inches along the way. After writing songs on his Casio keyboard in his bedroom, McPherson joined forces with Chris Burman, Tom Shickle, Jed Cullen and Danny Blandy and the group began getting noticed after playing London's club circuit.

A few sessions on Radio 1 and an appearance on the BBC Introducing... stage at Reading & Leeds, were supported by the singles “Never Fade Away” and “Not What You Wanted” (2011), before they were invited to appear on Later...With Jools Holland in November. In December the same year, they were shortlisted for the BBC's Sound of 2012 Poll (won by Michael Kiwanuka) and also announced they would be supporting Florence + The Machine's 2012 UK tour, as well as headlining their own dates in February.

Spector's debut album will be released in Spring 2012.
