Floridian rock band, Boyce Avenue, were formed in 2004 in Sarasota by Alejandro, Daniel and Fabian Manzano and named themselves after the street where they lived. Daniel is a Harvard law graduate, but chose music as his career, along with his brothers and additional band members, Jason Burrows and Stephen Hatker. They began uploading home made videos to YouTube in 2006, containing a mix of covers and original material and released their debut album, All You're Meant To Be, in 2008, on their own record label, 3 Peace, whilst continuing to foster a sizeable fanbase online.
In 2009, they toured the US for the first time, as well as some headlining gigs in the Philippines, where they are very popular. In January 2010, they signed a record deal with Universal, then toured the UK and returned to their 'second home' in Philippines to play more live dates, this time with Kris Allen and Jabbawockeez, before heading back to Europe. Their second album, All We Have Left, was released in June 2010, after their first official single with Universal, “Every Breath” had come out in March. They continue to post videos on YouTube, often covering songs suggested by their fans (with whom they have a close relationship), plus collaborations with other YouTube artists including Box Man Dan, Alex Goot and Megan Nicole, amongst others.
In 2011, Boyce Avenue's YouTube site signed up its millionth subscriber although, in August 2011, the band left Universal and returned to their own label, 3 Peace. They will be touring with Secondhand Serenade in 2012, as well as supporting One Direction on the latter's first tour.
